In a novel initiative to improve education standards of tribal children, Sevalaya has set up 3 education resource centres in Kuvamula, Bennai and Kallichal tribal villages. The centres are equipped with smart class boards, internet facility, audio-visual equipment, books and so on to bring them up-to-date with modern education. The education resource centres act as a multipurpose centre where a number of educational and awareness activities would be taken up to empower the students and the communities. Instead of expecting children to move out of their villages and tribes, we reach to them and respect their space and culture. The children are provided with quality education completely free of cost. 82 children have been enrolled in these three centres.
